An ensemble of rising stars performs in a concert version of Nicola Antonio Porpora's opera at Theater an der Wien.
As a composer Porpora was only rediscovered by musicologists in recent years. During his lifetime he had a reputation to rival that of Händel. "Germanico in Germania" tells of one of the many battles between the Roman empire and a Germanic city. Love and respect lead the story to a happy ending.
