Fairytales: The Nutcracker and Chopin

Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker was an instant success. The suite of the ballet was even more popular than the 'real' piece. The great Russian composer chose eight parts for the suite which were loved by audiences worldwide, and even used in Walt Disney's Fantasia. Today's concert features the Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Daniel Raiskin. Internationally acclaimed pianist Alexei Volodin joins the orchestra for Chopin's beloved Piano Concerto No. 2.
