The historic center of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. The picturesque city is an important cultural centre, especially for humanist discipline.
The second of July and the sixteenth of August are the dates in which the 'Palio' is held. The Palio is a traditional horse race which is conducted over a set course throughout the city each year. This event is attended by many tourists, and is widely televised.

L’auditorium viene citato, come Chiesa di Santo Stefano alla Lizza, in numerose fonti storiche già a partire dal XII secolo.
La chiesa è priva di forme romaniche perché riedificata nel 1671‐1675.
Dopo il suo abbandono nell’utilizzo come luogo di culto, nel 2009 la struttura è stata totalmente ristrutturata ed adibita a auditorium per manifestazioni culturali.
“Italian Opera in Siena” nel 2013 ne ha fatto la sua sede principale. Le caratteristiche strutturali e l’eccellente progetto di ridefinizione degli spazi ottimizzano l’acustica al suo interno, facendone la location ideale per concerti ed eventi musicali. -
