We propose you a 3.5 hours e‐bike & hike tour in Ålesund, starting from our activity center, through the city, then hiking in a calming forest to finaly arriving to a magnificient 360° view. So, we’ll start this tour in Ålesund with a 20 minutes bike ride through the picturesque city center of the city. Then, arriving at the bottom of mount Sukkertoppen (sugar loaf mountain), we’ll start our hike up to the top 314 meters above sea level. The way up takes you through the calm and colourful forest and opens up to magnificent views for the other 3/4 of the hike walking over a the very broad ridge of Sukkertoppen. Once you have reached the top you are rewarded with a 360° panoramic view giving you an overview over the Sunnmøre alps to the southeast, Storfjorden to the east, the North‐Sea west and the city of Ålesund at your feet, don’t forget your camera! Make your way to the meeting point in the center of Ålesund. Board your boat and settle in for a scenic cruise along the Geirangerfjord. Keep your camera ready for the incredible photo opportunities that arise as your catamaran sails by the Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls. Soak up the views as you continue along the fjord. Hop off board in the village of Geiranger where you can embark on a pre‐booked excursion or just take a walk around the village and to the Norwegian Fjord Center, which has an exhibition about the UESCO‐listed fjords. After a return cruise, your tour ends back at the starting point.

Ålesund Sightseeing and Viking Saga Islands

Discover the scenery and history of the ‘Viking saga islands’ of Giske and Godøy. From Ålesund, we’ll travel across the Giske bridge to the saga island of Giske, the birthplace of the Viking chieftain, Rollo. During a photo stop at Giske we will enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Travelling through a tunnel will bring us to the island of Godøy and the picturesque fishing village of Alnes. There will be a stop at Alnes Lighthouse for a visit . We return to Ålesund and ascend the local mountain Aksla. The bus will take us as far as the stadium, where we’ll continue our journey on foot. A scenic 900‐meter walk on a gentle path with no gradient will lead us to the viewpoint, offering spectacular panoramic views of Ålesund and its stunning surroundings. From the viewpoint, we will descend 418 steps back to the town, where it's just a short walk to the harbor.‍ Please Note: For those who prefer not to walk to the viewpoint or down the steps, the bus will return directly to the harbor.

Alesund to Trollstigen Tour from Cruise Terminal

Upon arrival in Ålesund cruise terminal, meet your guide and settle into your comfortable coach for a day exploring Trollstigen, the Land of the Trolls. Your first stop will be the old Skodje Bridge, around 15 minutes away, where you can enjoy a short walk. There will be a few more stops for fjord and river gorge views, and a small Norwegian‐style lunch, before arriving at Trollstigen. You’ll spend the majority of your time at the viewpoints overlooking Trollstigen. You’ll get great views and photos of the impressive mountain pass’ 11 twisting hairpin bends that travel up the Romsdalen valley, as well as the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. After a final stop for views, snacks, and souvenirs at Trollstigen Gjestegård, it’s back on the coach for the journey back to Ålesund cruise terminal.
