Multifaceted San Francisco‐based pianist‐cum‐composer Mathew Goodheart is as comfortable playing the classical music of his native country—jazz—as he is playing the drivingly polyrhythmic music of West Africa and Cuba. An artist with a natural affinity for improvisation, Goodheart works with both acoustic and electronic instrumentation in a variety of settings.
