Teatro Argentina
Rome, Italie
The internal part of the Argentina theater, inaugurated in 1732, was entirely made of wood, while the exteriors were brick walls. Its hall was U‐shaped and composed of forty rows of wooden banks, to optimize the acoustic and the visibility.
According to the opinions of many foreigner visitors during the XVIII century, the 'Teatro Argentina' used to be considered the most important in the whole Rome, where both plays and concerts were performed.
