A propos du spectacle
L'Auditori présente un concert pour piano et orchestre avec la légende du jazz Brad Mehldau et l'OBC. Une collaboration d'institutions telles que le Los Angeles Philharmonic, le Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra et le London Jazz Festival, dans le cadre des célébrations du 50e anniversaire du Barcelona International Jazz Festival.
Le spectacle sera complété par un solo de Mehldau dans la section principale et une ouverture avec la Suite du film de Paul Thomas Anderson, lauréat d'un Oscar, There Will Be Blood, avec la bande originale du guitariste de Radiohead Jonny Greenwood.
Cette œuvre a été commandée conjointement par l'Orchestre national d'Île‐de‐France et Jazz à la Villette Festival, L'Auditori de Barcelona, The Witold Lutoslawski National Forum of Music, Wroclaw, Pologne (Jazztopad Festival), The Barbican Centre London et Britten Sinfonia, et Philharmonie Luxembourg et Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, et la Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, Gustavo Dudamel Directeur artistique.
