RCO: Pintscher, Debussy, Escher and Takemitsu

See music woven from the air, as Mathias Pintscher conducts the RCO and violinist Leila Josefowicz in a quartet of works that stretch the senses.

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Netherlands Chamber Choir present Debussy's ethereal 'Nocturnes' and Pintscher's own translucent Mar'eh, alongside Toku Takemitsu's 'Twill by Twilight' — an evocative weaving of strands of sound that mimics the play of colors as twilight turns to night. Rudolf Escher's Passacaglia completes the quartet of intricate, diaphanous works.
