Über die Veranstaltung
Nach zwei Jahrzehnten kehrt Dirigent Marko Letonja ins Auditorium zurück und präsentiert ein Programm, das zwei Schlüsselelemente der symphonischen Musik miteinander verbindet: Beethovens Vierte Symphonie, reich an heroischen Idealen, und das dramatische Flair von Strauss. Auf dem Programm stehen zwei Meisterwerke des berühmten österreichischen Komponisten: die Suite aus „Die Frau ohne Schatten“, ein Höhepunkt seiner Zusammenarbeit mit Hugo von Hofmannsthal, und die „Vier letzten Lieder“. Strauss' tiefgründiger und leidenschaftlicher Abschied fängt seinen letzten Verbeugung vor der Welt der Musik ein und demonstriert seine außergewöhnliche Fähigkeit, tiefe menschliche Emotionen zu vermitteln.

Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
