„Es gibt einen Grund, warum bestimmte Musikstücke so berühmt sind: weil sie wunderschön sind“, behauptet Musikdirektor Emmanuel Tjeknavorian. Diese Wahrheit trifft perfekt auf Mozarts Sinfonie Nr. 40 zu, ein Meisterwerk aus den letzten drei Sinfonien des Genies aus Salzburg, das sich im Vergleich zu den beiden anderen durch seinen melancholischen und mondähnlichen Charakter auszeichnet. Unterdessen setzt das Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano seine Erkundung von Schostakowitschs symphonischen Werken mit der Sinfonie Nr. 6 fort, einer heitereren Komposition, die die Stimmungen des Frühlings, der Freude und der Jugend verkörpert.

Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
