Tauchen Sie ein in das Ambiente der österreichisch‐ungarischen Monarchie mit einer musikalischen Reise, die von ihren entlegensten Winkeln bis nach Wien führt. Wer könnte uns besser begleiten als Alfred Eschwé, Kapellmeister und ultimativer Hüter der österreichischen Tradition? Nach seinem Debüt in der letzten Saison präsentiert Eschwé eine Reise, die mit Bartóks eindrucksvollen Ungarischen Bildern beginnt, gefolgt von Haydns letzter Sinfonie mit Trommelwirbel und endet mit einer Auswahl der bekanntesten Stücke von Strauss, darunter die Tritsch‐Tratsch‐Polka und der Kaiserwalzer.

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
