Das russische Volksmärchen von Petruschka, einer Puppe, die durch einen Hauch von Lebenskraft und Emotionen zum Leben erweckt wird, verwebt sich mit Wagners Siegfried und L'arbre des songes (Der Baum der Träume), Henri Dutilleux' Konzert für Violine und Orchester, das Isaac Stern gewidmet ist und vom talentierten Schweizer Geiger Sebastian Bohren aufgeführt wird. Dutilleux' Konzert aus dem Jahr 1985 verbindet den Solisten enger mit dem Orchester, während Wagners Waldweben an den zauberhaften Wald erinnert, in dem Siegfried im zweiten Akt der Oper Zuflucht findet. Jac van Steens große Erfahrung wird das Publikum durch diese traumhafte Reise führen.

Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
