Das Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano ehrt die tiefgreifende Kreativität einer Koryphäe des 20. Jahrhunderts: Luciano Berio, der von 2000 bis 2003 als Ehrendirigent von LaVerdi tätig war. Das Mailänder Symphonieorchester präsentiert das Eröffnungskonzert von Compass, einem für Klavier und Orchester komponierten Recital (1994), das Musik und Architektur auf wunderschöne Weise miteinander verbindet. Dies ist die perfekte Feier zum hundertsten Geburtstag von Berio, mit einem „florentinischen” Ensemble außergewöhnlicher Musiker: Andrea Lucchesini am Klavier und Diego Ceretta als Dirigent. Zusammen mit dem Orchester präsentieren sie ein Programm, das Ravels Valses nobles et sentimentales und Respighis Fontane di Roma nahtlos miteinander verbindet.

Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
