Über die Veranstaltung
Rimsky‐Korsakovs bezaubernde Scheherazade, deren erste Akkorde von Luca Santaniello, dem Konzertmeister des Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, gespielt werden, entführt uns in exotische Gefilde, um mit unseren Sinnen und Emotionen die Geschichte einer Frau zu erkunden, die einen Sultan mit ihren Geschichten aus Tausendundeiner Nacht in ihren Bann zog. In diesem Programm bringt das vielseitige Talent des Pianisten und Dirigenten Sunwook Kim dieses Meisterwerk zusammen mit einem Höhepunkt des Klavierrepertoires: Beethovens Viertes Konzert für Klavier und Orchester, in dem zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte das Klavier die anfängliche Stille unterbricht und der traditionellen orchestralen Einleitung vorausgeht.

Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
