Avi Avital joins a group of friends for this thrilling concert featuring works by Piazzolla, Bartók, Villa‐Lobos, tango, klezmer, and more at the 2015 Dresden Music Festival.

Anyone who connects the mandolin with romantic serenades in Venice or smoky bluegrass bands is in for a musical surprise with Avi Avital. The young musician is a true virtuoso of the stringed instrument, often condescendingly considered as the 'little sister' of the guitar. With a breathtaking technique and sensitive playing, he combines such different genres as klezmer, Baroque music and contemporary sounds.
