Nel 2006 la Royal Philharmonic Orchestra ha orgogliosamente festeggiato il suo 60imo compleanno. Fondata nel 1946 da Sir Thomas Beecham e la sua idea di creare un nuovo ensemble di prima categoria ha attratto i musicisti più eccellenti da tutto il Paese. Oggi, la RPO porta ancora avanti questa aspirazione, portando la musica alle persone in tutto il mondo.
