La Traviata: Dijon Opera

О событии

In his dramatic opera, La Traviata, Verdi breaks with the historical subjects of his earlier successes and plunges into bourgeois life of the 19th century.

Stage Director Jean‐Francois Sivadier excels at giving life, body and soul to the characters who people the stage, liberating their humanity so that they become beings who reveal us to ourselves, our fears, our sufferings and our joys. Conducted by Roberto Brizzi Brignoli, who led the orchestra to rare musical heights with Rigoletto in 2010, and with Irina Lungu, who created a sensation in this same role in 2007 at La Scala filling in at the last minute for Angela Gheorghiu, this co‐production with the Aix‐en‐Provence Festival risks to strip bear the heart of emotion.
