The Festival de Violoncelle de Beauvais presents "Ici et maintenant", a concert dedicated to contemporary compositions for the cello, at the National Gallery of Tapestries.

The Festival de Violoncelle de Beauvais offers an opportunity to enjoy the deep sonorities of the cello in all of the instrument's many guises, from solo suites to Romantic concertos. This year's artistic director is Pieter Wispelwey, a young master cellist, whose expertise ranges from the baroque to contemporary music. Programming and composition for the festival was guided by the young French composer Bruno Montovani.
