The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra performs a varied programme, with soprano soloist Kristine Opolais and guest conductor Andris Nelsons.

The young Latvian singer, Kristine Opolais, who has sung leading roles with the State Opera in Berlin among other venues, will perform some of Mozart’s best‐known opera parts for soprano. Andris Nelsons has conducted the orchestra on two earlier occasions and with tremendous success. The opening of the great orchestral poem ‘Zarathustra’ is perhaps the music world’s most spectacular sunrise. It has been referred to countless times, and is widely known as a main theme of Kubrick’s film ‘2001’.
