The CCM Ensemble perform compositions by Debussy, Ligeti and Spohr at the Pick‐Staiger Concert Hall and the Gottlieb Hall in Chicago.

Debussy conjures up a sense of peace during war‐torn 1915 — using the flute, harp and viola to express his longing for a simpler time; Ligeti embraces late 20th century turmoil as he pays mischievous homage to Brahms’ heavenly horn trio; and Spohr’s exquisite 1813 Nonet tightropes between the waning classical and burgeoning romantic eras in an ingenious blend of sparkling solos and engaging musical conversations.
