Vermeer's canvasses are full of musical instruments: muselaar, harpsichord, bass viol, cittern, guitar, trumpet, and flute… So we can easily imagine the music that, undoubtedly, was to be heard in the Dutch painter's studio. Philippe Pierlot sets out to recreate this atmosphere in a programme featuring the singing of Céline Scheen from Verviers, a soprano well known to Belgian music‐lovers.
