Vogler Quartett: Mozart, Lutoslawski, Brahms

О событии

Experience chamber music works by Mozart, Lutosławski and Brahms in the Konzerthaus Berlin. With chamber music intelligence, technical sovereignty and interpretative sensitivity, Tim Vogler, Frank Reinecke, Stefan Fehlandt and Stephan Forck create an unmistakable string quartet sound that is constantly gaining new perspectives thanks to the lively ensemble culture._

The four musicians take us on a journey from Viennese Classicism to Eastern European Modernism. Mozart, only 17 years old, wrote the quartet KV 169 after his return from Italy. At the other end of the spectrum of quartet literature, Lutosławski composed his only string quartet commissioned by Swedish radio in 1964. The program closes with Johannes Brahms' third and final quartet. He wrote it as a light‐hearted, cheerful work to distract him from his first symphony, which caused him great concern at the time.
