Along with Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with Sir András Schiff, the program will include Dvořák’s Symphony No. 6.
Like Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto, Dvořák’s Sixth Symphony is performed relatively rarely in Germany. Yet this pastoral work is brimming with folk melodies – like the Legends and Slavonic Dance, which conductor Iván Fischer will also be presenting.
