New Year's Eve Gala Concert: Golden Opera

The Gala Concert 'Golden Opera' is a special New Years eve concert where the best of 'La Traviata', 'Rigoletto' and from 'Boheme' is presented: Rigoletto is one of the most famous operas of Giuseppe Verdi. The opera is performed by the the orchestra and the choir La Lirica di Venezia. The directors of the orchestra conducting are Stefano Romani and Silvia Casarin Rizzolo. The choir is conducted by Emanuele Giannino. La Traviata: During a party, courtesan Violetta discovers that Alfredo loves her since one year. A short while afterwards they are living together near Paris, but because of her past behaviour, alfredo’s father asks her to leave him. Violetta sacrifice herself and Alfredo, unaware, hurts her. Some months later Violetta is dying. Alfredo learned the truth, goes to her, but too late and she dies into his arms.


The story: Buffoon Rigoletto suggests to his duke the libertine behaviour that dishonours several maidens of the court. But Monterone, whose daughter was seduced, damn him: his awful jokes will turns against him. In fact just his daughter Gilda is a victim of the duke, who abducts her. Rigoletto pay Sparafucile to kill the duke. But Gilda, who loves him, decides she will die instead of him. In the early dawn Rigoletto discover horrified the body of her beloved daughter murdered instead of the duke.
