Share the glory of Lully's eponymous hero, as he vanquishes the gorgon Medusa, and is conquered by love in his turn. The crowning glory of French Baroque opera returns to Versailles.
The 1770 version of Persée inaugurated the new Royal Opera at Versailles on the occasion of the marriage of Louis XVI and Marie‐Antoinette. Hervé Niquet, with his Concert Spirituel and a cast of emerging stars return the work to its original home with this concert performance.
