Il Trovatore: Canadian Opera Company
О событии
The Canadian Opera Company in Toronto presents a captivating performance of Il Trovatore starring Ramón Vargas and Russel Braun.
Il Trovatore enthralls audiences with its scorching tale of the vengeful gypsy Azucena, her son Manrico’s romance with the noblewoman Leonora, and his duel with the Conte di Luna. The raucous Anvil Chorus and the passionate tenor aria “Di quella pira” are highlights from this quintessential Italian opera. A first‐class cast will carry the opera to its jaw‐dropping finale. This production sweeps the audience into a sepulchral Romanesque hall that is at once castle, gypsy camp and lovers’ retreat.
Performed in Italian with English surtitles.
