European Union Youth Orchestra: Grafenegg Summer Concerts

This Saturday the European Union Youth Orchestra is once again a guest in Grafenegg. The critically acclaimed young orchestra, composed of the best young talents from all 27 EU countries, will perform Ravel's 'Bolero', Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 with renowned pianist Boris Berezovsky, and Mussorgsky's beloved 'Pictures at an Exhibition' under the baton of Krzysztof Urbanski.

There’s a special feeling in the air when you step through the gates of Grafenegg to plunge into the open atmosphere of these Summer Concerts. Here is a fascinating combination of past and future, tangible in the contrast between the old castle and the modern open‐air stage, Wolkenturm. On mild summer evenings, performances are in the open; in poor weather, the Auditorium opens its doors.
