Concerts in Borromini Sacristy
О событии
In a place of great prestige, in one of the squares most beautiful in Rome and in the world, Piazza Navona, these concerts are by now one roman musical tradition. 'Smaller it is the number of the musicians, minor must be the distance that separates the musicians from the public' asserted Stravinskij and, the Sacresty, recently restored, besides being a precious jewels of the baroque art, has exceptional acoustics that allow to listen to the chamber music in a very involving way.
For the piano concerts there is an historical instrument, the Blüthner piano, kindly put to disposal by the Prof. Mark Sharpshooters. The Blüthner piano is an ancient instrument that in 1910 gained the prestigious 'Grand Prix' in the world‐wide exposure of Brussels, as demonstrate by the golden coat of arms inside it. The Blüthner particularly is adapted to music of the 1800's, and Brahms himself appreciated its qualities after playing it.
