The BudaFest Summer Music Festival is a major annual event that is now in sixteenth year, this year's programme features 25 outstanding concerts staged during the months of July.
With venues in the Hungarian State Opera House, the Castle District of Buda and St. Stephen's Square, Pest, the BudaFest Summer Music Festival has grown into one of Budapest's most successful cultural events and one of Europo's most eagerly anticipated summer festivals. Each year the organizers aim to put together a programme of the highest standard that will appeal to both local and visiting audiences alike. Klezmer, ragtime and opera enthusiasts will be able to enjoy summer evening concerts in the attractive Dominican Courtyard, whilst in St. Stephen's Square against the incomparable backdrop of the Basilica there will be larger scale concerts, that this year will include an even wider range of music than the symphony concerts that have been the tradition to date. Stars of opera and ballet will performing in the glittering Hungarian State Opera House.
