Buchbinder & Znaider: Grafenegg Summer Festival

Kicking off of the fourth and final Sunday of the Grafenegg Festival are host Rudolf Buchbinder together with Nikolaj Znaider, who has already been invited to Grafenegg several times as violinist and conductor and who is performing in both the matinee and the previous evening concert. The matinee is entirely devoted to Ludwig van Beethoven, whose pioneering oeuvre for piano and violin set new standards in chamber music.

Rodolphe Kreutzer, the dedicatee of the «Kreutzer‐Sonata», described the work as «unplayable» – fortunately for the music world, Rudolf Buchbinder and Nikolaj Znaider are prepared to take up the challenge.
