The Pilsen Philharmonic, formerly named Pilsen Radio Orchestra, is an ensemble with a strong tradition.

On its many international tours it performed on prestigious stages in Europe and USA, such as Elbphilharmonie, the new concert hall in Hamburg, Gasteig in Munich, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Brucknerhaus in Linz, Stadthalle in Vienna, and Rudolfinum in Prague.

In 2015, the orchestra became one of the flagships of the project Pilsen – The European Capital of Culture 2015.
