The Vienna Philharmonic will play symphonies by Beethoven. Andris Nelsons, chief conductor of the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester, regularly performs with the Vienna Philharmonic. He will conduct not only the frequently played 'Eroica', but also Beethoven's Eighth Symphony, which despite its outstanding music is rarely heard in concert halls.
