A cycle of concerts exploring the dialogues and the boundaries between music and film: their harmony, their bond, but also borrowing from each other that enriches them both.

The silent film Battleship Potemkin has been matched with many scores: with the original of Edmund Meisel at the German premiere in 1926, later with pieces of Shostakovich and again with several others. The English composer Michael Nyman proposes his own reading of Eisenstein's work -- Nyman's own being influenced by his work with Peter Greenaway and Jane Campion.
