Weiner, Braun, Mendelssohn: Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin
Sobre o Evento
This programme combines the dynamic works of 19th and 20th century Jewish and Israeli composers and two representatives of Romanticism. Enjoy this concert with the Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin, soprano Thila Nini Goldstein and flutist Matthieu Gauci‐Ancelin under the baton of Asaf Maoz.
The 'Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin' was founded 1989 by young musicians conducted by Fritz Weisse. The orchestra consists of 20 musicians, who are members of prominent Berlin orchestras as well as free lance musicians. During the last four years the ensemble very successfully pursued an individual artistic concept: Working with changing conductors instead of one musical leader.
As a result of a new understanding of orchestra work programs are arranged together by the orchestra, the conductor and the management. There is a special focus on co‐operation with rising artists (for example: Philippe Jordan, Vladimir Jurowski, Matthias Foremny and Constantinos Carydis). The repertoire of the 'Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin' covers works with different musical styles, with a special emphasis on the works for string orchestras. The traditional concerts in the Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie Berlin are the main focus of the musical activities of the 'Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin'. Besides this the ensemble plays regularly in Berlin, in the surrounding countryside and at European Festivals abroad. Numerous tours led the orchestra already to Spain, the Tschech Republic, Poland, Russia, Indonesia, China as well as to the Netherlands and Switzerland.
