Versailles was the most famous spot in the world during the 17th century. All of royals, courtiers and diplomats of Europe came to Versailles to admire its beauty and charm. People are still lining up to see the grand palace, but this tour guarantees a direct access to Versailles.
The tour begins with your guide meeting you in charming downtown Paris and accompanying you to Versailles by a local train. Once you are the Chateau, you will travel back in time and meet all of the royal personalities that have once lived at the palace.
Catch a more intimate look into the lives of the 17th century royal family. You will visit the State Apartment and hear all about the complex sequences of dressing, eating and bedroom ceremonies that French royals had to undergo before hundreds of spectators. However, you will also see the hidden rooms that no one knew about. Rooms where royals of the Palace could use for small moments of privacy. These rooms still contain most of the original furniture of the Palace of Versailles.
Pass through the rooms of the Golden Plate where Mozart had once played. Marvel at the Astronomical Clock of Louis XV- it is a clock that will continue showing correct time and date for thousand years to come. Witness the Royal Opera and the Royal Chapel where Marie Antoinette got married in 1770. Listen to your guide telling marvellous stories that commemorate that day.
Take an enjoyable stroll through the gardens of Versailles, designed by the Sun King himself. On certain days the fountains are active and the whole gardens are set to music.
After your tour your guide will provide you with tickets and all the information you need for the easy trip back to Paris. Alternatively, remain on your own in Versailles for the rest of the day.
