Be party to a musical and theatrical revolution. Alex Ollé of La Fura dels Baus brings Wagner's radical epic to the stage, with Iréne Theorin and Stefan Vinke, Wagnerians of international repute, as the eponymous lovers. Sarah Connolly and the veteran Albert Dohmen round out an unmissable cast.
Pairing the work's inherent musical ambiguity and nihilistic philosophy with a focus on the symbolic language of Wagner's self‐penned libretto, Ollé and his team create an intriguing new realisation of the German's conception of 'a comprehensive work of art'.
