One of this year's ECHO Award‐winning young artists, the flutist Daniela Koch, will perform chamber music 'from Vienna to Paris' accompanied by Oliver Triendl (piano).

Every year ECHO provides performance opportunities to six selected young musicians under the auspices of the Rising Stars programme, a concert series showcasing the stars of the future. The Austrian flautist Daniela Koch is among those chosen for the 2012/13 season. Still in her early twenties, Koch studied at the Salzburg Mozarteum and has won first place or finished on the podium in numerous competitions, receiving special prizes on several occasions. She regards her victory in the Kobe International Flute Competition in Japan in 2009, in which she emerged first from 230 competitors, as the greatest success of her career so far.
