Quator Diotima plays Schubert’s Rosamunde Quartet
Sobre o Evento
Franz Schubert’s well‐known and beloved Rosamunde Quartet is named after a melody he composed for the musical play, Rosamunde. He thought so much of it, in fact, that he later reused it in an Impromptu for piano, where the melody is a theme in six variations, and in this string quartet, one of his greatest chamber music masterpieces. This is music that is both serious and light, infused with sorrow and joy.
