Poland's most famous composer conducts his own works in Ljubljana.

Penderecki conducts his own 'powerful and luxuriant' 2nd cello concerto, with Maja Bogdanović, and Dvořák's 7th symphony, for which he has already received praise: “Penderecki breathed soul into the late‐Romantic meandering of Dvořák’s symphony of hushed soft contours, conveying the orchestra to a climax in a Scherzo of compact unity, and to a storm in the somewhat overblown finale.” (Krönenzeitung)
