Orchestre des Champs‐Elysées & Herreweghe: Music Festival Grafenegg
Sobre o Evento
Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 9 is the focus of a concert day that is dedicated to the Upper Austrian Romantic composer.
Look forward to captivating interpretations by Philippe Herreweghe, a pioneer in early music, and his Orchestre des Champs‐Elysées. The great «Te Deum» will be struck up by a top‐class soloist ensemble as well as singers of the Collegium Vocale Gent and the Accademia Chigiana Siena. The Prelude will feature Bruckner’s 7th Symphony in a chamber music version.
There’s a special feeling in the air when you step through the gates of Grafenegg to plunge into the open atmosphere of this Music Festival. Here is a fascinating combination of past and future, tangible in the contrast between the old castle and the modern open‐air stage, Wolkenturm. On mild summer evenings, performances are in the open; in poor weather, the Auditorium opens its doors.
