Cellist Pieter Wispelwey will perform with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra at the opening concert of the Beauvais Cello Festival 2012.

The program, conducted by Jonas Alber, features music by French composers. Pieter Wispelwey will play the Cello Concerto by Lalo.

The Cello Festival offers an opportunity to enjoy the deep sonorities of the cello in all of the instrument's many guises, from solo suites to Romantic concertos.
