National Philharmonic of Russia with Nikolai Tokarev, piano
Sobre o Evento
One of the undoubted highlights of a series of concerts that pay homage to our favourite masters and virtuosi past and present, the National Philharmonic of Russia’s upcoming appearance in Nuremburg promises to be a special night of world‐class musicianship with two unique talents firmly centre stage: conductor Vladimir Spivakov and award‐winning young Russian pianist Nikolai Tokarev.
A celebration of three composers whose work fused the traditions in which they worked with a bold and unique vision of their own, Nikolai Tokarev and the National Philharmonic of Russia will play three selected canonical works: Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E Minor (the 'New World Symphony'), Rachmaninoff’s Concert for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 in F Sharp Minor and Glinka’s Overture from the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila.
