Celebrating his 70th birthday, Perahia goes on tour with the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields, returning once again to the complete piano concertos that he famously recorded in the 1980s.

The First concerto maintains a light, Mozartian, tone, but the Third marks a turning point for Beethoven, whose unmistakable personal voice is stamped all over this work for the first time. The Overture to Beethoven's only full‐length ballet, 'The Creatures of Prometheus' completes the program.
