Instrument builder, electronic composer and vocalist Lesley Flanigan and the indie band People Get Ready – praised by NPR’s Bob Boilen as “the best mix of performance art and music I’ve seen in decades” – share an affinity for generating sound through movement and objects.

Using feedback, voices, choreography and bespoke instruments, they develop a new composition by exploring the physical qualities of their music. The resulting sonic landscapes can pulse with frenetic energy or hum with an immersive calm.

The Ecstatic Music Festival returns for a fourth season of adventurous collaborative concerts bringing together performers and composers from across the sonic spectrum for highly unique and utterly original collaborations.
