Gioacchino Rossini's great opera buffo, "Cinderella", is performed in Italian with Estonian and English subtitles at the Estonian National Opera.

Who hasn’t heard the fairy‐tale of Cinderella who crouched in the ashes, danced to the tune of her step‐sisters but finally found the man of her dreams and a happy life. Dutch stage director Michiel Dijkema and German designer Claudia Damm present an exciting and unexpected version of the Cinderella story, with striking scenery and fantastic‐modern costumes.

"Cinderella" blends reality with dreams, fantasies, comedy, and the grotesque. And all of this is expressed through the brilliant music of Rossini!
