Krivine & La Chambre Philharmonique: Berlioz & Dutilleux

Sobre o Evento

Henri Dutilleux spoke often of Berlioz. As a young student, he was 'fascinated' by him without completely loving his music. 'It wasn't until later,' Dutilleux said, 'that I really discovered him.'

Discover the power and subtlety in the music of both Frenchmen in this stunning program. Dutilleux's Slava's Fanfare, a brief homage to Rostropovich, serves as the overture to his sweeping Nuits d’été (on texts by Théophile Gautier). Berlioz's intoxicating Symphonie fantastique closes the evening with its famed 'idée fixe' and the infinite metamorphoses that Dutilleux so admired.
