Former child prodigy Julian Rachlin has already had an illustrious career, working with many renowned conductors and released recordings that have been critically acclaimed. Tonight he will be featured in the performance of Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1, with highlights such as the diabolic scherzo and the emotional expression of the Passacaglia.

The program also includes Dvorak's masterful Scherzo Capriccioso, a dazzling orchestral showpiece, and Schumann's Symphony No. 3, known as the "Rheinish".
