Janine Jensen's recording of the Tchaikovsky violin concerto is one of her most acclaimed albums. She performs the work again at this concert, with Antonio Pappano conducting the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome.

Pappano also leads the orchestra in two very works that reward an imaginative audience: Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition and Paul Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice — made famous by Disney's Fantasia.
