Finland in Concert: Jukka‐Pekka Saraste Conducts Lindberg & Sibelius

Tonight’s Finnish conductor, Jukka‐Pekka Saraste, brings with him two works by fellow citizens: Lindberg and Sibelius.

The concert opens with a contemporary piece by Magnus Lindberg, and it closes with the second symphony by the most internationally known Finnish classical composer, Jean Sibelius. Between the two Finnish works, Christian Tetzlaff will perform the well‐known Violin Concerto by Dvořák, one of the Festival Orchestra’s favorite composers.
