A famous opera choir with Malmö Opera: Tivoli Concert Hall
Sobre o Evento
On this festive evening, Malmö Opera, together with Danish tenor Adam Frandsen, will present Nordic Romanticism and famous opera choirs. The director of the Malmö Opera, Michael Bojesen, will skilfully guide the audience through the concert with carefully selected facts and anecdotes.
The stage is set for a firework of top arias for choir and tenor from the opera world. Adam Frandsen will perform well‐known arias and the beautiful voices of the experienced Malmö opera choir will interpret pieces from Verdi's The Force of Destiny and The Troubadour, accompanied by the famous melodies of Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld.
One of the greatest Swedish composers, Wilhelm Stenhammar, is introduced in the Nordic part. Inspired by Richard Wagner and Anton Bruckner, he developed a more 'Nordic' tone over the years, inspired by colleagues such as Carl Nielsen and Jean Sibelius.
